A senior, Coss pulled off a winning trifecta Saturday during Cedar Ridge’s one-point overtime victory against Coppell.

Coss had a hand in all five Cedar Ridge touchdowns, scoring them in three different ways — passing, running or receiving. Coss tossed TD passes of 13, 52 and 19 yards and he ran 10 yards for another score. In overtime, he scored on a 14-yard reception of a pass from wide receiver Cash Rugely as the Raiders won 35-34 to advance to a Class 6A, Division I state quarterfinal against Hendrickson.

Deuce Vaughn, RB, Cedar Ridge: Playing for injured starter Simi Bakare, the sophomore gained 165 yards on 22 carries in the victory over Coppell.
